Central Heights eighth grade boys and girls won team titles at Iola Invitational with girls scoring 92 and boys 94 points. Derek Brown set a school record by winning the 220 yard dash in 25.69 seconds, as Cedar Heights led the standings with multiple top finishes across events and other area schools followed in scoring.

Lyndon tops Pomona and Olpe 76 68 68 in a three school girls track triangular. Pomona set three school records led by Kealey Kerwin 3200 14 33 Brandi Soper 75 hurdles 12.7 and Brianna Wilhite 1600 5 52. Pomona scores include multiple top finishes in high jump long jump shot put discus and relays with Wilhite Soper and Bigham among leaders.

Thunder teams Battle To 1-1 Tie In City Youth Soccer

Ottawa hosts Hershey Track Meet for kids ages 9 to 14
The Ottawa Recreation Commission sponsors a Hershey Track and Field Meet on May 9 with a May 6 registration deadline. Practice sessions run Saturdays from 9 to 11 a.m. at Ottawa High School, May 2 and the prior Saturday, instructed by Scott Bird.
