Air Force Colonel Attacks Some POWs as Cowards
Air Force Colonel Theodore W. Guy who commanded POWs in North Vietnam denounces some returned prisoners as cowards who collaborated with the enemy and even harmed comrades. He says fewer than 20 alleged collaborators exist among 566 POWs and vows to identify and potentially charge them after evidence is gathered. Guy recalls torture and beatings that pressured him to speak, asserts a code of conduct was violated by some, and notes moves to place black marks in service records for collaborators.
