Ottawa Truck ships Army tractors in $9 million contract
Ottawa Truck completes the first 16 yard tractors under a $9 million Army contract and ships 30 more for shipment this week. By July 31 the plant aims to finish 170 trucks total, with production aided by an 11 day holiday break to add the military line. The khaki rigs feature remote controlled fifth wheels, a Detroit Diesel V-6 engine, and desert-ready design.
