McKeon reshuffles Royals mound staff amid lead decline

Kansas City manager Jack McKeon shook up the pitching rotation as the Royals’ AL West lead narrowed. Dick Drago moved to the bullpen, with Ken Wright or Bruce Dal Canton to start in his place, after a rough run of games including an 8-4 loss to the White Sox. Wright impressed in relief and start potential while Dal Canton stepped in well. The reshuffle aims to stabilize a rotation hit hard by recent losses from starters Wayne Simpson and Steve Busby as the lead shrank to a half game.
