Dinosaurs Footprints Revealed In Utah Back Yard Find
About 200 million years ago a herd of dinosaurs walked through Sheldon Johnsons yard in St George Utah. He uncovered about 150 prints from several species while leveling a sandy hill with a backhoe. Paleontologists call it one of the best footprint collections, including details of scales and a possible unknown species. Johnsons 130 acre property likely bordered an ancient shallow lake where Eubrontes and the giant Dilophosaurus left tracks along the muddy shoreline. The discovery has drawn thousands of visitors to view the blocks of stone and fossil impressions preserved over eons. Johnson and his wife LaVerna remain astonished by the find.

Utah family guards dinosaur rocks while planning museum
For two months the Johnson family has protected fossil tracks attracting 12,000 visitors from as far as South Korea and France. LaVerna Johnson, a former teacher, welcomes guests and provides notes on the animals. Locals and Dixie College support a planned 20 acre museum in St George, with university researchers joining to explore the prints for a potential new meat eater species. The family declines admission to keep focus on education and posterity over profit.

Hurricane forecast predicts worse damage in coming decades
New Orleans AP report quotes Bill Gray forecasting increased hurricane activity over the next 15 to 20 years with Gulf and Atlantic coast damages five to ten times higher. He says future decades may resemble the late 1920s to 1940s, but more people live in harm’s way. Gray links activity to cyclical ocean salinity and warming currents.
