Ottawa High girls dominate KU Relays with records set
Ottawa High School Cyclones win the 2 mile relay at Memorial Stadium in 9:49.37, placing in five events and setting three school marks. Kathy Hodges Connie Frank Jeri Cole Toni Wiederholt pace the win with strong opening splits. Melissa Burch and Susan McFarland set school records, while Rachel Brockman adds a second in the 100 meters and the team gains a relay berth before April 30 Cyclone Track Carnival.

OU Thinclads Set School Marks at Central Relays
Ottawa University athletes posted three school records at the Central Missouri State Relays in Warrensburg. Tim Horsley soared 48-3 in the triple jump for second, Tom Palmer cleared 6-8 in high jump, and Randy Mijares placed third in the 440 or related track event as OU faced tough competition and tornado weather nearby. Women's team also notched records with Kim Hersh 124-10 in javelin and Marilyn Holm 16-0 in discus, plus Slalin 41-6 in shot put. OU next competes at Park College Relays in Parkville, Missouri.
