Lane area crash claims life of 56 year old Robert K. Lang of Greeley RFD 1. Lang, driving a pickup north on Lane Greeley Road, left the road, overcorrected, and crashed into a ditch and tree. He was ejected, pinned, died from internal injuries. Autopsy performed. funeral services pending at Dengel and Son Mortuary in Ottawa.
Jane Morrissey youth prevention coordinator for the National Council on Alcoholism in Topeka will speak at 7 30 p m Tuesday in the Ottawa Middle School multi purpose room about the Get Set program a drug and alcohol prevention effort for grade and middle school students. She holds a psychology degree from Texas Woman's University and has worked in alcoholism since 1975 as a state and national consultant helping form the Get Set program in Topeka. Her talk occurs during the Middle School PTA meeting and the public is invited to attend.
A second suspect, Kenneth Anderson, 22, Topeka, was arrested in Denver after a traffic stop revealed a Franklin County arrest warrant. Anderson faces a fugitive complaint in Denver to determine extradition, with transport arrangements to follow if waived.
A 57-year-old Pomona man, George W. Raley, pleaded innocent in District Court to contributing to the waywardness of a minor after a Pomona girl, 11, was allegedly paid for posing nude. Trial set for April 26. bond $2,500 posted. Investigators said the girl was paid $3 and a cigarette pack for the sitting at his mobile home. two fully clothed photos were seized along with a Polaroid camera. Raley denies the allegations.
