Markets stumble as bond yields rise despite strong Apple and Citigroup news
New York markets waver with the Dow down 2.20 to 10,375.75 and the Nasdaq at 2,010.02 as bond yields firm. Investors weigh higher yields and rate-hike fears against solid earnings from Apple Computer Inc and Citigroup. The 10 year note rose to 4.40 percent while analysts cite macro trends over company performance. Local grain quotes from Overbrook and Franklin County firms show modest price readings across wheat corn soybeans and milo.
