Johnson County creates county public information office
Ottawa describes two of three Johnson County commissioners establishing a county public information office with an initial 25000 dollar budget and potential 50000 to 75000 dollar funding next year. The piece criticizes the move as government propaganda and warns taxpayers to oppose the entity. It argues the office will push favorable news, be unavailable in a crisis, and burden taxpayers with extra costs.
