Propane Draining Ends Bellwood Evacuation After Elevator Fire
In Bellwood Nebraska residents were evacuated as a grain elevator damaged by a fatal explosion leaned toward collapse. Fuel crews drained 29 000 gallons of propane from two tanks near the structure, with authorities saying the danger of a major blast was over once the tanks were empty. Residents were expected to return around 8 am Thursday.
