Fire displaces residents at Ottawa apartment building
Twenty people were displaced by an early Friday fire at 1 W Canterbury Court Apt C in Ottawa. Firefighters arrived at 12 46 a m and found a blaze on the rear deck that spread into the attic. Fire officials attributed the cause to improper disposal of smoking material and said inside units were undamaged. Nine adults and 11 children found temporary lodging with Red Cross. residents returned home Friday night.
