Gilbert Rohleder of Mid-American Pipeline noted opportunities in piping ammonia and related fertilizers.

Johnson tightens limits on North Vietnam bombing

President Johnson restricted bombing to below the 19th Parallel, about 170 miles above the DMZ, with US air forces told to halt raids north of that line. Publicly the 20th Parallel boundary remains, but officials say no change in policy. In the ground war, siege at Khe Sanh ends as US and allied forces report 118 North Vietnamese killed and 198 bodies found, with fighting continuing nearby. Saigon reports a draft-age rise to 40 and recall of veterans.
