Coffeyville High School led Class AA with 42 5-18 points as Ottawa University hosts the 16th annual Ottawa Relays. Harold Rush set a new 120-yard high hurdles record 15.2 seconds. Russ Anderson of Chanute broke the shot put mark at 57 feet 5 inches. Coffeyville won four firsts and added other placings to build its score with 71 schools competing across Classes A and B.
