Ottawa Trojans ace Seimears shines in 12-2 win over Osawatomie
Ottawa High School senior Elizabeth Seimears rebounded from nerves to toss a two hit game with six strikeouts as the Trojans rout Osawatomie 12-2. Freshman Bailey Nelson sparked the offense with a leadoff infield single, three stolen bases, and four runs as Ottawa pounded out nine hits and forced five Osawatomie errors. Nelson and Kylie Foster each had two hits, Tatum Knight drove in two with a 2 RBI single, and Corie Fischer added an RBI in a three run fifth. Ottawa (2-1) heads to De Soto Tuesday.

Ottawa High School opened its golf season with an eighth-place finish at the Mill Valley Jaguar Invitational in Shawnee. The Cyclones posted 339 as Quentin Blaue led with 81 and tied for 16th, followed by Trey Rich 83 and Austin Blaue 86, Jeff Doolittle 89, and Hunter Peoples 95.
