De Soto swept Central Heights on the Vikings home field winning 9-4 in the first game as five runs in the ninth inning sealed the opener. In the nightcap Central Heights won 54. Central Heights freshman Bob Wolfe went 4 for 4 with 2 RBIs and a run plus a steal. Freshman Jordan Welch scored twice and had two steals. Gus Wuertz led De Soto with two hits in game two.
