21 Goes Bust in Vegas Scheme Movie Review

The film adaptation of Ben Mezrichs Bringing Down the House follows MIT students Ben Campbell Jill Taylor and Micky Rosa as they card count to win in Las Vegas. Laurence Fishburne anchors as Cole Williams while Kevin Spacey Kim Bosworth and Jim Sturgess deliver leading performances amid stylish but repetitive Vegas imagery. The movie disappoints with weak character arcs thin plotting and a loud moral about greed despite sharp visuals and strong cast. Two stars.
