Clarkson Construction Co. workers in Kansas City tore down the I-35 northbound bridge over K-68 east of Ottawa early Saturday. Built in 1957, the bridge was replaced as part of interstate work. By 7 a.m. Saturday the bridge lay in ruin and K-68 reopened. The crew used heavy hammers to dismantle the 44 year old crossing.
