Alien abduction insurance ends after Heaven's Gate deaths
The Goodfellow Rebecca Ingrams Pearson insurance firm said it stopped selling alien abduction policies after Heaven's Gate members, 39 of them, paid 1000 dollars for coverage up to 50 people with a 1 million dollar payout for abduction, impregnation, or death by aliens. The company noted the policy remains in force until October 9 and said it would not renew such policies.

Wall Street dips as bond yields rise and markets slide
Wall Street retreated amid rising bond yields near six month highs. The Dow fell 56.65 to 6554.40 at noon while the S P 500 slid to 752.99 and the Nasdaq dropped to 1208.46. Bond traders cited cautious optimism after February factory orders rose 0.8 percent, a record high overall, with inflation fears fueling Fed rate concerns. Overseas markets showed mixed results as Tokyo gained, Frankfurt edged higher, and London fell. Local quotes listed prices for grains and selected stocks, including Casey’s, Comm Fed, H&R Block, and Wendy's.
