Obituary for Carolyn Marie Fredricks, 78, dies in Arizona
Carolyn Marie Fredricks, 78, died March 29, 2017 at Phoenix Mayo Clinic Hospital after a two year battle with pancreatic cancer. She was a devoted wife of 57 years to Gary, mother to Scott, Craig, and Suzanne, and grandmother to four, with a step grandchild. Born in Ottawa Kansas, she moved 18 times in 25 years as a military spouse, worked in insurance brokerage, and supported veterans groups. Funeral 1 p.m. April 7 at Messinger Mortuary Fountain Hills, with a Celebration of Life at DC Restaurant, Desert Canyon Golf Club. Memorials to American Cancer Society.

Gary D. Hornbuckle 77 of Ketchum Idaho died March 1 2017 of heart failure. A summer memorial in Idaho will announce date and time. He was born March 22 1939 in Ottawa Kansas and earned a UC Berkeley PhD in electrical engineering in 1967. He helped shape the computer industry before founding Applicon IMPRES and Hornbuckle Engineering. Survived by wife Barbi Reed and a large family, he supported multiple boards and community groups. Memorials directed to the Gary D Hornbuckle Memorial Scholarship Fund in care of US Bank Ketchum Idaho.
