Services Today For Mrs. Inez Hamilton Widow of HeroMrs. Inez E. Hamilton, who formerly resided at Third and * GAve., died April 6 at the Naval Hospital, after a long illness.Bom in Greeley, Colorado, the deceased was a graduate of State College, San Diego, and long a resident of this city. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence JJ. English of San Diego.Mrs. Hamilton was the widow of Cqmdr. Weldon Lee Hamilton, USN, of Coronado, whose remains e recently returned here forrment from Guadalcanal, near where he was killed in 1943. He commanded carrier air group 11 on the ill-fated carrier, Lexington, in the battle of the Coral Sea. His squadron was first to sink a Japanese carrier and he was the firstNavy flier to fteceive two Navy crosses.Private services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Bonham Bros. Mortuary.
