American occupation troops pulled out of Austria under the independence agreement to reinforce northern Italy just south of the Brenner Pass. One Killed In Train Car Crash East of Waupun
One man died at the scene and another was seriously injured when a car collided with a diesel locomotive of a Northwestern freight train at a grade crossing two miles east of Waupun on Highway 39.
