Special to The Northwestern Madison Sept 13. Jacob M Thompson a Reedburg man eloped with Clara Johanson of Stoughton. He married her in court but already had a wife and three children at Korisbure. The same court issued a warrant for bigamy. He and Chief of Police Yee Baker were arrested yesterday as a governor's requisition sought his return to the attic.
Gen. Joseph Wheeler arrived at Oyster Bay and met the president. Rev. Lyman Abbott of New York and Prof. J. W. Jenks of Cornell were named to be the president's hosts at lunch tomorrow. Prof. Jenks was commissioned by the industrial commission to study the trust question and also examined economic conditions in the Philippines.
