Stolen Auto Hits Train in Hilbert Killing Four De Pere youths
Four De Pere youths died when a stolen 1961 blue Cadillac struck a Soo Line freight train at Highway 57 north of Hilbert in fog. Victims were Milton Doehler Jr., Deakalla Oliver III, Mark Adriansen, Donald Pargo, and Bernard Vanden Heuvel. The car, stolen from a De Pere funeral home about 5:30 am, jammed under the diesel. Engineer Harold Sonnentag halted the train. authorities freed the crew two hours later. Traffic blocked on Highway 57 until 7 am. Continued on Page 4 Col 4.

OTTAWA AP The Soviet Union signed today the biggest wheat purchase pact in Canadian history ordering nearly 500 million dollars worth of wheat and flour for delivery in 104 months. The order covers 198 million bushels plus 29.5 million bushels. Trade Minister Mitchell Sharp and S A Borisov signed the deal as part of a new three year Canada Soviet trade agreement. Sharp said the order plus a recent 11 million bushel shipment equals two thirds of total Canadian wheat and flour shipments in 1962 63.

Kimberly police and FBI from Appleton investigate a weekend burglary at Kimberly Savings and Loan. Entry came via a basement window, a lock on the floor was broken, and an 18 to 20 inch hole was chiselled in the steel vault to steal more than $35,000 in cash and checks. The building lacked a burglar alarm and no tools were left behind. Located in downtown Kimberly, the incident was spotted by patrolman Chris De Leeuw at about 9 p.m. Sunday.

Boy Says Father Had To Be Killed
A 14 year old Land O Lakes youth admitted in juvenile court that he shot and killed his father Floyd James O'Brien in Vilas County. Officials say the father beat him and his mother and threatened the family, leading the son to retrieve his rifle as the father advanced with an unloaded weapon. The boy said his mother hid the ammunition. The father was killed Saturday night.
