James Eaton a first grade pupil at Park school died after running into a truck on Knapp Street between Tenth and Eleventh not long after 5 PM Wednesday. Driver Eugene Stead 25 Omro said he was moving slowly 8 mph. The boy born February 11 1930 Beloit Wisconsin lived with his parents at 1246 Eleventh Street. Funeral plans set in Ottumwa Iowa.

Found in swamp Harold King has died during search
Three year-old Harold King missing for three days was found by a searching party in a swamp near Washburn Wisconsin. He was found alive but in poor condition with exposure and delirium. Bloodhounds from Menominee traced scent to the edge of the swamp before heavy rain washed it away. Relatives later found the boy dying in marshy brush as the hunt continued.
