In Winnebago County three assembly districts nominated Republican candidates after yesterdays primary. First district nominees include M Perry and Wickert. Second district nominee Nels Larson. Third district nominee George HE Jones. Democrat candidate Smick and Socialist Gertsch were unopposed in their races with 62 and 94 votes respectively.

Massachusetts and Georgia primaries decide races in close contests

In Massachusetts the Democratic governor nomination went to State Senator John J. Walsh after a tight battle with Richard By. Long. Republican nomination for governor went to Channing H. Cox unopposed. Georgia Democrats nominated a U S senator and eight officials, with Hoke Smith, Hugh M. Dorsey, Thomas E. Watson and John R. Cooper in the mix.
