Twisters And Severe Storms Roll Over State
Tornadic winds swept through south central and northeastern Wisconsin with funnels touching down on water. Two tornadoes were sighted in the east central region but did not reach ground. Severe thunderstorms, high winds and rain followed a cold front, especially near Green Bay and Prairie du Lac. Conservation warden Owen Anderson observed a funnel 6 to 8 feet diameter touching the river and crossing 200 to 300 feet as ice boats were lifted and dropped.
