MADISON AP The 200 million push on water pollution by Gov Warren P Knowles cleared the Senate after a heated skirmish but a branch banking bill died. The measure passed 19 13 with Dems predicted to renew effort in the Assembly. Democratic Sens Dorman and Thompson backed the GOP majority while Dempsey and Draheim joined the minority.
