Dinner gathering at The Hob Nob in Fond du Lac closed with Mrs. David Davies presiding and Mrs. Lynn Morgan elected secretary. A corn roast was planned for August to boost member turnout before September program resumption at Mrs. Morgan's home.
The Oshkosh VFW Auxiliary installs officers led by Mrs. Joseph Dimpfl with Mrs. Harry Troudt as conductor. New president Mrs. Frederick Wolff and other officers are sworn in during a dinner for about 150 post and auxiliary members plus guests. Also notes PTA Green Meadow program and upcoming school landscape plans and picnic. New officers for Byron Purchatzke group include Ronald Muller president and Willard Janke vice president.

The College Women's Club closes 1964-65 with a lighthearted hat making party at Hesser's Supper Club. Prizes went to Mrs. A. W. Schroeder for prettiest hat, Mrs. Laura Weed for wildest, and Mrs. Ralph Witherbee for most ingenious. Retiring president Miss Ruth Hopper honored. New officers named: Mrs. Philip Nelson president, Miss Gertrude Schlerf treasurer, Mrs. John Morton on board.
Mrs Mary Burr president of Affiliate K Wisconsin Hairdressers and Cosmetologists Association attended the state and executive board meetings on May 2 and delegates on May 23 at the Schroeder Hotel Milwaukee Legislation was discussed and she was named to the finance committee for the state convention October 3 5 at the Schroeder Hotel She was also named delegate to the National Convention July 19 21 in St Louis.
Ruth Gressler and Joan Mayer of the Winnebago County Guidance Center will attend the first Community Mental Health Clinic Secretaries meeting in Madison on June 7. Secretaries from 23 clinics across Wisconsin will discuss clinic administration and secretary staff relations, with Dr L J Ganser presenting The Clinic as a Mental Health Resource. The Winnebago center at Radio Park Neenah serves Winnebago County residents.
Oshkosh Auxiliary to the Lutheran Home for the Aged in Fond du Lac held its May meeting at Peace Lutheran Church with Rev Harold Kuester leading scripture and prayer and installing officers. President Mrs Herman Martin, VP Mrs Frieda Winkel, Secretary Mrs William Hansen, and Treasurer Miss Rush Meyer were installed. Vernon Perousky, Winnebago County agricultural agent, spoke on suitable flowers. A 12:30 picnic is planned June 30 at Macy Home Fond du Lac.
The 22nd Badger Girls State will open on the University of Wisconsin campus June 12 drawing 450 high school students. Delegates will be assigned to mythical cities under Federalist and Nationalist labels and participate in campaigns elections and mock legislative meetings to promote interest in democratic government.
