Bravery on an 80 Foot Power Pole Near Waushara
Beloit workers Dan Thompson and Robert Eicher faced a life threatening incident atop an 80 foot high voltage pole on a Wisconsin Power and Light line between Green Lake and Wautoma. Thompson steadied Eicher, lowered him safely, and called for help as Eicher recovered in Wautoma Community Memorial Hospital. Thompson and Eicher are Beloit natives with Thompson returning to work soon after.
