Boys Find Rich Diggings In Trash Pile
Eight boys under thirteen are being questioned after police recover 3.9 million dollars in fifty and one hundred dollar bills from a trash pile in East St. Louts. A food store operator saw a boy drop a ten dollar bill and alerted the mother, who called police. The money was said to be found at the home of two elderly sisters Florence and Margaret Graney who died in March. Four boys shared the find with four others and spent some on bicycles while one boy gave a Trinket 120.

Junta Troops Occupy Main Radio Station
Troops loyal to the civilian military Junta seized the main rebel radio station in Santo Domingo as insurgent resistance in the north subsided. Units of the air force police entered the silent station after firefights with snipers in nearby buildings. The junta rejected a United Nations ceasefire appeal and appeared to control much of the industrial suburban area north of the corridor to the refugee zone, while the rebels held the stronghold south of it. Casualty figures were unavailable though reports of civilian deaths circulated. US troops were not in combat though five American soldiers were wounded by sniper fire in 56 incidents.
