A huge traveling coal unloading bridge at the Philadelphia and Reading coal dock on St Louis Bay of Lake Superior collapsed just before noon. Two men were killed and a third likely fatally injured, all workers from Superior, after a second bridge struck the moving unit. Fire crews extinguished a wood frame blaze as ambulances rushed to the scene.
