Search Party Reaches Site Of Air Crash
In Montana a five member Wisconsin family aboard a Cessna 182 died in a crash on Sacajawea Peak Bridger Mountains. Rescue crews recovered three Cone children bodies and continued search for Chester 6, John 5, Jimmy 4 and wife. A baby older report left behind in Wisconsin. Witnesses saw wreckage 200 to 300 yards from a mountain slope.

Police raid uncovers large drug factory in San Francisco apartment

Downtown Oshkosh traffic study proposes five block mall
Harland Bartholomew and Associates submit a traffic plan to the Common Council planning commission and parking and traffic commission. The proposal envisions a five block Main Street mall from the Fox River to Church Street, plus two new bridges from South Main Street to link State Street and Commercial Street. Estimated cost for street and parking changes in the 96 block area is 1 million 877 thousand dollars. The plan’s second stage adds widening Commerce Street and extending it to Main Street Church Street, with one way southbound traffic on Commerce. First stage changes include removing parking on Oregon Street Eleventh to Church and on Main Street Eleventh to Irving, extending Jefferson Street to State Street, and creating city parking lots along new streets between several avenues. A new lot is planned between Seventh and Eighth Avenues near Oregon Street, plus lots near Main Street between Parkway and Merritt and Ninth and Tenth Avenues. Continued on Page 12, Col. 4.

Two Pedestrians Die on Highways In Wisconsin Toll
