Fire in Atlanta Hotel Claims Dozens in Inferno
Flames erupted in the basement kitchen of the Terminal hotel in Atlanta early today. Between 50 and 65 guests were reported in the five story 62 room building. At least 25 persons were killed and 13 injured with many others unaccounted as debris and collapsing walls hampered rescue efforts. Fire officials feared more bodies would be found as search continued.
