Oshkosh Man Killed in Crash
John H. Jackson, 40, of Oshkosh, died in a two car crash on Highways 73 21 near Wautoma at 3 30 p m Tuesday. Mrs Darlene Davis 21 of Berlin was the other driver with passenger Miss Katherine Resop 20 of Berlin badly injured. Davis was in serious condition at Madison hospital Resop in Wautoma hospital with both legs broken. Jackson owner of Jackson Automatic Vending Co Oshkosh died from injuries not wearing a seat belt. Funeral services planned Friday at 2 p m at Seefeld Funeral Home.

A U S helicopter penetrated deeper than ever into North Vietnam to rescue Capt. Martin H. Mahry of Custer South Dakota after his F105 was struck near Yen Bay. Two heat seeking missiles fired at the helicopter failed to halt the mission as crew led by Capt. Robert B D Purman recovered the pilot in clear weather near the Red Chinese border amid enemy jets.
