Miss Yvonne Fritz of Westfield captured the Miss Oshkosh title before about 1000 attendees at Oshkosh High Civic Auditorium. The ceremony featured Miss Jill Bylow passing the crown as Miss Fritz wore a white evening gown and brown bathing suit. Fritz, a sophomore at Oshkosh State College, will train for the Miss Wisconsin Pageant June 18 to 20. Continued on Page 16 Col 1.

Police Kill Suspect In Ticket Racket
In New York a suspect in a multimillion dollar ticket racket was shot and killed by detectives during an arrest attempt. About one million dollars in stolen airline tickets were found in the suspect’s car. Vladimir Jezina, 23, identified as an associate of John V. Hendricks, 42, who was arrested May 2, operated a travel bureau in a deteriorated Manhattan hotel and forged tickets for refunds from airlines.

Plot Suspect Hurt Fleeing Plot in Saigon

Two Young Men Drown in Wisconsin Weekend
