DNR District HQ Moves to Green Bay from Oshkosh
The Lake Michigan District of the Department of Natural Resources will relocate its headquarters to Green Bay around Aug. 1. An Oshkosh office will remained for area supervision. eight staffers are expected to transfer, with about the same number staying. County coverage includes Winnebago and 17 others statewide. CAPE KENNEDY United Press International reports engineers race to fix an autopilot electrical fault in the Centaur upper stage after a Saturday night launch failure. The 48 foot Atlas Centaur rocket tumbled out of control 92 miles above the Atlantic and fell into the sea. Loss valued at 77 million pounds or dollars and jeopardizing the two Mars missions planned to map 70 percent of the planet and inspect potential habitats for life. Mars would be out of range by June 16 and the next U S chance would not come until 1976.
