Walter Murphy a 74 year old farmer was found shot four times in his New Richmond area home. Sheriff Charles Grant said two men were taken in for questioning with one later released and the other jailed in Hudson. Three Killed On Highways In Wisconsin Toll Rise
Three young men died in separate crashes raising Wisconsin’s traffic toll for the year to 262, down from 326 a year ago. Hubert Adelhoven, 21, of Potosi, died Friday from injuries after his car left Highway 133, overturned near Potosi, and struck a rock pile. David J. Kireh, 18, of rural Mt. Horeb, was killed when his car left a Dane County highway and rolled down an embankment near Mt. Horeb. John J. Mika, 19, of Kenosha, died when a motorcycle he was testing hit a bump on Highway 43 near Kenosha and he was thrown to the pavement.
