Clemency for January pardon recommendation issued

The General recommends commuting the sentence of John Wilhant donours alias Charles W. Anderton to three months from the date of reprieve and pardon at end of that time, July 19 1907. The Attorney General approved the recommendation. He was convicted for robbery at Billweter Ohio and sentenced at Fort Leavenworth, later escaping and later living in Kansas City under a changed name. He was arrested in Kansas City April 26 through tips from a farmer who knew him in prison.

Private Bar D Tripm of St. Johns Michigan serving a fifteen day sentence in the guardhouse was accidentally killed last night by Sentry Lawrence Glines while Glines cleaned his rifle.
