J Cait Bisas, Henry Goll’s father in law, says Goll shared in wrong doing only through trust in Bigelow and did not profit himself. Bisas notes Bigelow rushed Goll with documents to sign without scrutiny.
Ottawa May 4 The frakebest vote on the northwest autonomy bill passed in the house of commons favoring the government. Separate schools for Catholics in the territory to be subdivided into provinces dominates constitution discussions for new provinces. Laurier government backed by eighty one vote margin.
Milwaukee health officials report about 100 typhoid cases in the city with a suspected waterborne source. Simeon H Leland 58 died Wednesday night at his home 470 High street after a protracted illness from a cut on a thumb a year earlier which led to blood poisoning. Born January 9 1847 in Alleghany County New York he lived in Wisconsin and Iowa before Oshkosh where he ran meat markets and a grocery. He was a member of Oshkosh lodge 27 FP and A M Odd Fellows Pinery Camp Modern Woodmen and Knights of Pythias. Survived by wife six children two brothers and funeral at Masonic temple next Sunday at 2 o clock with burial rites by Oshkosh lodge.
The Moonbeam, towed from Hoboken to Providence with coal, sank in a night gale off Faint' adit Jant. The Tr ute? tug Gertrude reported the loss at Newport Rhode Island. All on board perished, including the captain's chief engineer, steward, and two children of the captain. names of the drowned were not provided.
