Lagoon Tragedy Claim Five Year Old Boy In Ice
Five year old Jay Michael Mueller of 349 School Ave died after falling through ice into the South Park lagoon. Oshkosh fire department divers recovered the body at 3 33 pm after a two and a half hour search. Police and hundreds watched as four divers and boats searched the four to six foot depth area near a hole and a cap spotted by a six year old witness. The boy, born Sept 4 1959 in Oshkosh, leaves three brothers and three sisters and is to be buried at Lakeview Memorial Park after Mass of the Angels at St Mary Catholic Church Friday. The Mueller family resides with relatives near South Park.
