Allentown Pa AP Charles Kucsan a steel plant millwright 33 of Bath RD 2 Pa was charged with murder for an incident in 1929. Police say he struck Peter Fry 45 with a roadster after an argument over poker cheating. Fry died next day. Kucsan admitted hitting him but claimed only to knock him down and scare him. He was held without bail on a general murder charge. There is no statute of limitations in murder cases.

Highway Toll Reaches 177 in Wisconsin Crash
The death of 27 year old David Dresser of Janesville raised Wisconsin’s 1961 highway toll to 177, from 153 a year earlier. Dresser died early today when his car struck another vehicle on Highway 51 two miles south of Janesville and rolled into a ditch. He died of a skull fracture and was alone.
