John G Fechter, a Wisconsin avenue merchant, prepares to extend his store to the rear and alley, creating a 26 by 120 foot two story addition with a 25 by 26 foot prick section. A larger telephones switchboard will be installed by Wisconsinelephone company, with a crew of 25 men arriving next week to complete the work.

New London Wis March 30 The chair company here claims it hired men through a Green Bay employment agency to take the places of the workers who struck a few days ago over wages. The strikers cited that they could not support their families on the $1.50 a day wages they received.
Milwaukee reports brighter spring building prospects amid high materials costs. The Chicago and Milwaukee Electric road seeks Wells and Second streets access with a northward link to Milwaukee and Northern Electric, with a fast Chicago-bound schedule by August. Wells Street development gains emphasis and the new Auditorium plan circulates among thirteen national architects led by Mayor Becker.
