A sub committee was appointed to report tomorrow morning.
Neenah Wisconsin March 26 Dr L W Giffin died in Chicago from cancer. He helped create Finco Solvent a diphtheria cure later discontinued after safety concerns. He lived with family at Auburn Park suburb of Chicago and was born in St Lawrence County New York. He leaves a wife, a daughter two sons one aunt and a brother Judge Giffin of Fond du Lac. Remains will be brought to Neenah for interment.
Des Moines Iowa March 26 EF C Brimhall of Des Moines has been appointed by Gov Cummins to succeed C F Wenners tram as state labor commissioner.
President elect Palma of Cuba leaves Washington after meeting with Roosevelt and Root on Cuba’s transfer to Cuban control. He plans to return to New York, then go to Sentiage and Havana for inauguration may 20, while praising US good faith and promising a prosperous Cuban future. An eleven year old adopted son of Sheriff Murphy freed two tramps from a Marinette jail cell Tuesday night and fled with them. He had come as a tramp last year and was later adopted by the sheriff’s wife who had given him a home and schooling. The boy reportedly obtained the keys by unknown means.

Funeral set for Saturday 10 am at St Marys Catholic Church with service by the German Catholic Rescue Society. In other news Appleton hack driver Charles Smith injured when thrown from his rig by a streetcar near the Vandergraft hotel. Dragged a block and is in serious condition with internal hemorrhages.
A Green Bay special notes Edward Decker Jr has named Arthur D. Woodward as manager and stockholder of the Green Bay Advocate. The change keeps policy unchanged. former editor remains with the paper.
