Body of Child Found in the Menominee River
Mary Wiedlin a three year old girl was found dead in the ice crusted Menominee River near the downtown Marinette Public Library after a search that involved volunteers sheriffs deputies and firemen from Marinette and Menominee. She reportedly wandered from home Tuesday morning and fell through thin river ice. Bloodhounds from Appleton assisted and the body was recovered late Tuesday into Wednesday. The Wiedlin family recently moved from Wisconsin Rapids and has two other children.
