Louisville March 21 A son was born today to Mrs Beckham wife of the representative of Kentucky The statement highlights a newborn arrival and identifies the family involved with local ties to Louisville Kentucky.
Fred W. Faulkes editor of The Cedar Rapids Gazette died today in Excelsior Springs Missouri of heart disease. He was born near Madison Wisconsin in 1855 and moved to Iowa in 1874. He worked as a dispatcher on the Burlington Cedar Kay tus and Norther before becoming editor in 1884.
Menasha Wis March 21 quiet around polling places as only minor officers are on ballot with city treasurer the sole major post. Also noted is the annual Inspection of Company G, Wisconsin National Guard, at the new armory tonight with expected attendance from Neenah and Oshkosh, led by General Charley King. In other news Michael Crow, a brakeman on the Ashland division, escaped serious injury when a loaded box car toppled and rolled, pinning him briefly under the car until aided by nearby workers.
The Supreme Court rules the criminal section of the Vallentine anti trust law constitutional while the civil section is struck down. Delaware county case Perley W. Gage, president of the Delaware Coal Dealers association, had been charged with forming a restraint of trade. The circuit court had held the criminal section unconstitutional, but the high court reversed that decision.
