MOD Corp Expands North Main Street United Block Ownership
MOD Corp of Milwaukee purchased seven additional properties in the 100 block of North Main Street this week, consolidating control of west and east side buildings. The W. G. and R Furniture Co. site on the west side, marked by stripes, was sold Friday by Mr. and Mrs. Melville Thomas and Tillman O. Kummerow. Earlier this week Miles Kimball Co. sold four properties, shading to MOD, further extending its block dominance.

Oshkosh records show the Kummerow building at 103 105 107 N Main St along with four other properties sold to MOD Corp of Milwaukee for 135000. MOD Corp now owns 15 of the 20 properties in the two North Main Street blocks with many parcels previously held by Miles Kimball Co. The sale week totals seven properties valued at 336000.
Rail crossing crash injures teen in Oshkosh
Roy Karst 18 of 123 Mill St received facial lacerations and bruises after his car was struck by a Chicago and North Western Railroad passenger train at 8 28 a m in Oshkosh. He failed to heed flashing signals and was taken to Mercy Medical Center by Moore Ambulance. The engine pushed the car 286 feet. engineer was Jerry Reader of Fond du Lac.
