Vessels Clash Off New London Toll Marks Dead and Injured

A collision near New London between the steamer Plymouth and City of Taunton caused extensive damage. At least six dead and multiple injuries reported from cabins and steerage as the two vessels jammed the harbor. The Plymouth managed to reach port. several passengers and crew were rescued.

A man smoking a pipe near a powder can at a West Starkind quarry caused a deadly blast that killed him and injured seven others. The Fontainet Indina Powder Company mill near Brazil Ind experienced a terriffe explosion at 4 o clock Unix morning. The large building was wrecked, and no one was inside the structure. the cause remains unknown.

Justice Bardeen, Wisconsin Supreme Court Judge, Dies

Missouri packing firms fined in beer trust case

Jefferson City March 20 The Armour Cudahy Swift Hammond and the Schwartzsehid and Schulberger packing companies were fined five dollars each and ordered to pay costs totaling five thousand dollars by the Missouri supreme court. Girls Kidnapping Case Shocks Bay City Granddaughters Missing

Bay City Michigan March 20 two granddaughters of M J OBrien of South Sheridan Street are missing from home. A warrant is served for Miamma Quinn of Los Angeles California charged with kidnapping. Quinn is the girls mother and was divorced from their father years ago. The older girl lived with grandparents after the divorce while the younger was taken by the mother. Later the child was sent to the grandparents allegedly because the mother could not care for her.
