POW reunion flight carries 26 home from Vietnam war
Twenty six American prisoners of war were flown across the Pacific from Clark Air Base to reunite with families. Among them was Maj. Floyd J. Thompson the longest held POW who has never met his nine year old son born the day after his capture. Also aboard were diplomat Philip W. Manhard and Navy Lt Cmdr. Robert J. Flynn, with many released last week in Hanoi. North Vietnamese estimates say 147 POWs remain to be released by March 28.
