Couple Found Shot to Death At Clintonville

Werear ville man and his wife were found shot to death at their Clintonville home Saturday night. John Meyer, 63, shot Frances Meyer, 63, as she slept on a sofa, then killed himself in the basement. Coroner A A Meyer said the couple had been in ill health and under medical care for weeks.

Pulitzer Prize winning author and soil conservation advocate Bromfield died in University Hospital Columbus after jaundice related illness. Born December 27 1506 he won the 1926 prize for Early Autumn and later settled in Ohio buying five farms near Mansfield naming the land Malabar Fawn.
