Milwaukee voters chose Daniel W. Hoan for mayor in a city primary with 156,817 ballots. Hoan led with 64,964 votes, Sheriff Joseph J. Shinners 60,507, John C. Fined 1200 or prison for moonshine case in Appleton

Postal Substation Robbed in La Crosse Night Heist
Two armed men robbed a La Crosse postal substation at 10:15 pm stealing nearly 1500 in postal money orders and stamps and about 100 from the cash register. They forced clerk Herman Lau and four patrons into a lavatory, blocked the door, then fled in a nearby car.
